What's in YOUR Pants?

First we learned about binding, now let's learn about packing! No, no, we're not going on an all inclusive trip. We're talking about sock stuffers, harnesses and the art of peeing. Yup, you read that right. Today as your favorite go to handy man transman, I'm seeking to shed some light on packing and cover some basics. Now let's get to it!

This topic is fun.

Packing.

If you’ve never heard of this, packing is what a lot of Transmen do to give themselves a realistic bulge in their pants to help alleviate gender dysphoria.

I don’t know about any of you guys, but when I was younger, in probably elementary school, I thought it was the funniest thing to take a pair of rolled up socks and stick it in my pants. I would think to myself, ha I’m a boy!

Little did I know, am I right?

There are way more options than just a balled-up pair of socks now, though. We have foam inserts, basic packers and even fancy ones that you can pee out of!

And guess what? Some look so real that you can use them at a urinal once you master the art of peeing.

Yes, the art of peeing.

Stay tuned for that post.

Packing

I never used to pack.

A huge part of that was because I didn’t want to wear a harness every day.

When I initially started transitioning and was still using a binder, the idea of wearing more clothing just to feel like myself was exhausting and brought me back to that feeling of playing dress up. So I decided I could live without having a bulge and put off packing.

But then I started using the men’s room whenever I was out in public and felt out of place. Suddenly it seemed like what was in my pants mattered.

What kind of man can’t use a urinal?

It really started to bother me, so I looked in to packing again and I came across Stand to Pee (STP) packers. Not only was there a way for me to pack without a harness, I got to pee standing up.

What It Does for Me

The biggest thing I gain from packing is confidence.

That and being able to use a urinal is pretty cool.

Personally, it was one of the more euphoric moments in my life that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

It’s the little, or not so little, things in life, right?

At the end of the day, our self worth and confidence are what really shines through to the world. A confident attitude can make you go from the background character to the superhero main character.

Our personalities don't truly shine until they are fully embraced by ourselves.

I know I left you on a bit of a cliff hanger, but fear not there is a second part coming to go more in depth about different brands of packers and underwear.

Until then, talk to you soon,

Jamie
