Holiday Shopping!

The holiday season is creeping up on us quickly and some of us may be wondering about gift ideas for the trans and non binary loved ones in our lives. Whether a loved one is beginning their transition or starting to explore their gender, fear not I'm here to help!

The Holidays

The holidays are something everyone experiences differently. Whether you love them, hate them or just want a new gift idea, let's talk about it!

Not everyone enjoys or celebrates this season so it's important to recognize that and be aware and sensitive of how other people may handle and experience things.

However, a lot of us might be out and about or online shopping right now, I know I am, and sometimes it's hard to come up with something special for someone.

The spirit of giving is one of the most beautiful things to come out of this time of year so if you're able to, try to give a little extra to those in need of love and support.

If you're not big into celebrating but still want to give this season, consider donating to a charity, your local food bank or animal shelter. It doesn't always have to be just money either, time is just as valuable!

If you're interested in donating to a LGBTQ+ charity, I recommend the Black Trans Travel Fund, The Trevor Project or The Point Foundation.

And there are many more charities out there to choose from if you'd like!

So no matter what holiday you're celebrating, or maybe you just love giving gifts, here are a few things to consider!

TransTape

Of course TransTape is up first, duh! It's the best one!

If you're looking for the best idea for someone who struggles with binders or just hates bras, this is the idea you've been searching for!

You don't have to struggle with binders to fall in love with this stuff though.

TransTape is the original body transformation system and can be used for things like binding, packing and tucking.

TransTape is a gender-affirming, backless and waterproof alternative to bras, binders, packers, gaffes, and other self-affirming products.

Anyone can use it!

You can wear it safely for up to 5 days through hot showers and your daily routines without worrying about it ever giving out on you.

I've personally worn it while skydiving and running a Spartan Race, believe me it'll hold!

TransTape drastically improves my quality of life and helps alleviate my gender dysphoria, even on my worst days.

And the only reason I even found out about TransTape was because of a friend.

So if you have a friend or know someone that might be able to benefit from a little more euphoria in their life, spread the word or give the gift of TransTape.

They offer TransTape, skin care products, gift cards, merch and more!

Warning: User may feel freer than a Costco sample.

Boxers (Or Briefs!)

Underwear doesn't have to be an intimate gift, it can be a fun gift too!

You don't have to identify as trans to enjoy a nice pair of comfy boxers, or briefs. This is a fun gift for anyone, in my opinion!

Who doesn't love new underwear?!

The company Woxer is an awesome company to consider purchasing from.

A few people have mentioned these guys to me and they specialize in creating comfortable and fun underwear options for everyone.

If you're into this kinda thing, they have matching bra and boxer sets! And some of their boxers even have pockets!

POCKETS.

However, if you're specifically looking for a gift for a trans man, the company Rodeoh sells comfortable, stylish and multi-purpose boxers, among many other things.

I personally love a good pair of Rodeoh TRUHK boxers for those days where I want a quick and easy pack with my STP (stand to pee) packer.

They offer gender neutral underwear in all shapes and sizes and accessories specifically designed for packing.

Including our lovely TransTape!

The gift of comfortable underwear is one of the greatest gifts of all.

And in some cases, they even make life a little easier!

Stealth Bros & Co.

Do you have a friend who has to take shots for hormone replacement therapy? Or someone who has to take shots for any reason?

Stealth Bros & Co. is an awesome company to buy from!

Personally, I'm guilty of sprawling all of my stuff everywhere all the time, it's a curse.

Part of me still absolutely loves organizing things though so I purchased a Jr Dopp from these guys and I instantly fell in love with it.

These little dopp kits have space for any syringes, needle tips, vials, cotton pads and band-aids that you may use for your shot process.

And you'll still have space after throwing all of that in there.

They can be great for packing and traveling but also great to use for safe and easy storage in your bathroom or wherever you keep your shot supplies.

You don't necessarily need to take shots to use their dopp kits, either.

They are just as useful for organizing any other skin, hair, or beard, care products in your bathroom and are extremely spacious and tastefully designed.

Stealth Bros & Co. doesn't stop at their fancy dopp kits though, they also sell sharps containers so you can safely contain and dispose of your used needles.

They come in the larger containers that we're more familiar with seeing but also a small Sharps Shuttle that can fit inside your dopp kit so you can bring it anywhere you need.

Skin Care

Skin care can get a little more personal for certain people but a little lotion and self care never hurts.

A little bit of skin care can be a healthy habit and can teach us how to care for ourselves as much as we care for other people

Sometimes, especially if you're experiencing a second puberty, our skin can become more dry, oily, flaky or just not it, for lack of a better word.

I personally use skin care products from The Beard Struggle and it works absolute wonders for me. If nothing else, I recommend their Defy Clay Cleansing Bar.

Charcoal scrubs, loofahs, essential oils and lotions are all great ideas for a little self-care gift basket.

Another great addition to a basket is jojoba oil!

Jojoba oil, which is used for TransTape's Removal Oil, is one of the best possible things for your skin. It naturally helps regulate the oil production in your skin and can sometimes help with skin conditions like acne, eczema and psoriasis.

If you're going for a gift basket, I would recommend asking about any allergies they may have first.

If you find yourself shopping for a friend with a beard, The Beard Struggle offers some great products and all but I highly recommend giving Buckaroo's Beard Care a look. Products are made with all natural ingredients including jojoba oil and mango butter and are handmade by yours truly, me.

Cuddles and Blunts!

Okay yes, those are excellent options, but I'm actually talking about an apparel company that sells your new favorite hoodie!

Myself included, a lot of people love a nice warm, comfortable piece of clothing that gets a message across.

Especially a nice hoodie.

If you or the person you're shopping for has exquisite taste and high standards, you can officially end the search for the perfect gift now!

Cuddles and Blunts is a queer and trans owned apparel company out of Michigan that provides us with affordable clothing choices with creative designs and exceptional quality.

They are a wonderful company that sells hoodies, t-shirts, stickers, beanies and more!

With a few sales going on at the moment!

And whether you're shopping for yourself or someone else, 15% of all sales are donated towards surgeries for the transgender community!

If you shop at Cuddles and Blunts you'll be helping a small business, the community and yourself!

FTM Pit Stop

This next section will get a little NSFW 18+ for a moment. If you're looking for a more intimate gift, this one's for you!

Although I haven't experienced it for myself yet, rumor on the street has it that FTM Pit Stop has one of the best toys out there!

I'm not talking about a rubber ducky either.

Some of us who are taking testosterone may have experienced a little growth downstairs and that's where The PeenPocket comes in!

I actually used to work at a store that sold intimate toys, let me help some of you out a little bit.

The PeenPocket is a ribbed pleasure sleeve designed to create suction where some of us have experienced growth while also providing a gender affirming experience during masturbation.

Always use water-based lube with this product and don't forget to properly clean your toy after every use with toy cleaner or non-abrasive soap and warm water!

Making this an awesome gift for a significant other who is taking testosterone!

FTM Pit Stop also sells STP, stand to pee, packers!

I'm a huge fan of STPs and they help me feel more at home in my own body.

My new one is currently on the way in the mail!

This Jimmy STP has a hollow scrotum that discourages back flow with a no-spill lip that helps keep urine off you while you're using it. The flexible medical grade material helps create a natural contour and excellent seal.

Just like your toys, always remember to wash your packer often, especially if you use it daily, with either toy cleaner or soap and warm water!

FTM PitStop is definitely worth checking out if you're shopping for your significant other!

Don't Forget

For me, the holiday season is about being grateful and sharing joy with loved ones and those around you.

Treating your friends and loved ones is a fantastic experience for some of us.

I love giving gifts to those that I love, not just on holidays, but more often than not I forget something extremely important.

So now on to my next and final suggestion for this year's holiday gift guide.

Treat yourself to some self love!

Above anything else we should be thankful for and celebrate ourselves.

For whatever reason, it can seem so much easier to spoil our loved ones than it is to do small acts of kindness for ourselves.

And it's so important to do things for yourself! You're incredible and you deserve it!

We are all different in our own special ways, so self love may mean a new wardrobe, a new video game, dinner and a movie or binge watching a new Netflix series like Dead To Me.

Or maybe even buying fifty dollars worth of loose leaf tea from Tiesta Tea! Thank you for my new addiction by the way, Beau.

So above anything else this season, don't forget the most important person on your shopping list.

You.

Until next time,

Stay awesome,

Stay beautiful,

Stay you.

You are loved and it gets better.

Talk to you soon,

Jamie

Welcome to the cool kids club!

My name is Jamie and I'm a young (ish) transman born and raised in the Hudson Valley of New York state. I started my transition in May of 2017 and since then, I've made it my mission to live unapologetically as myself and spread awareness through my pursuit of happiness. I am the creator and writer of Spilling T blog, a proud affiliate of TransTape and when I'm not outside with the best dog ever or hanging out with my two cats, I make and sell my own beard care products through Buckaroo's Beard Care. I'm always looking for my next adventure and have been skydiving, road-tripping, hiking in the mountains and even served for a short time in the United States Marine Corps. My life has had its fair share of twists and turns and I hope to use those experiences to create helpful and relatable content that may help someone else navigate a difficult time in life.
