I don’t know about you,
But is anyone else wondering how we made it through?
Life always moves so fast,
And they say it’s because we’re having a blast,
But I think to myself,
What about all the impressions that last?
New perspectives, new ideas,
New thoughts being provoked.
Chances of new expressions,
Old habits being revoked.
Surrounded by the right people,
Like we sit here today,
You may begin to swap time with hope,
Ripping calendar pages 'til May.
The power of many is as strong as us few,
Especially when everyone shares the same, enchanting view.
Take each day one soft step at a time,
Your beating hearts are just as strong as your minds.
So don’t let this world fool you,
Or cast shadows of doubt,
Because this place is much better,
With all of you out and about.
Nourish your body, rest when you can,
Laugh with friends and even strangers you’ll never see again.
We’ve all come so far, my friends,
You should all be so proud.

My name is Jamie and I'm a young (ish) transman born and raised in the Hudson Valley of New York state. I started my transition in May of 2017 and since then, I've made it my mission to live unapologetically as myself and spread awareness through my pursuit of happiness. I am the creator and writer of Spilling T blog, a proud affiliate of TransTape and when I'm not outside with the best dog ever or hanging out with my two cats, I make and sell my own beard care products through Buckaroo's Beard Care. I'm always looking for my next adventure and have been skydiving, road-tripping, hiking in the mountains and even served for a short time in the United States Marine Corps.
